What Online Therapy Involves
Online therapy works in the same way as face‑to‑face sessions, but takes place through a secure video call. I use Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, and you’ll receive a link before each appointment. Simply click the link at your session time and we’ll meet online.
Sessions last 50 minutes and follow the same structure as in‑person therapy: checking in, exploring what’s been happening, learning practical tools, and planning helpful steps between appointments.
To make the most of online sessions, it’s helpful to sit somewhere quiet, private and comfortable, with a reliable internet connection. Headphones can make things feel more focused and confidential.
If connection issues occur, we can usually continue the session by telephone.
Online therapy is flexible, accessible, and allows you to receive support from a familiar environment while still benefiting from evidence‑based psychological therapy.
